Julie Beeler is co-founder of Second Story, a leading creator of informative and entertaining interactive experiences including media-rich storytelling presentations and interpretive installations. With a background in visual design, art history and the liberal arts, Julie approaches project concepts by immersing herself in the subject matter through extensive research, so that each story can be realized in a unique, innovative, interactive environment.

Since 1994, she has collaborated with many of the world’s outstanding museums and cultural institutions to create numerous award winning projects that incorporate an inventive mix of technology and storytelling on topics spanning the liberal arts, sciences, humanities and exploration. Her studio’s pioneering work in blending interactive art, entertainment, and education has been recognized in every major interactive design competition and received hundreds of awards, as well as being included in the Smithsonian’s permanent research collection on information technology.
